Inference on Associations between Variables

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of this module, learners will be able to:

  • use R to fit simple linear regression models to model the mean of a variable as a linear function of an explanatory variable,
  • produce regression diagnostics in R and use them to assess simple linear regression model conditions, and
  • see connections between simple linear regression and some other commonly used statistical procedures.
